Alex is a very happy, playful boy.  He is curious about the world around him, and is so smart.  He likes to figure things out, fix things that are broken, and problem solve.  At camp, Alex loved playing in the water. At the beach, he had so much fun swimming, and at the water park, he played on the water slide the whole time!  He likes to splash people and squirt them with water guns.  But most of the time, Alex loves toy cars.  He played with them every opportunity we had when we were at camp. He also built a doll house by just looking at picture instructions!

Alex is deaf, does not speak, and has not been taught sign language in the orphanage, but he clearly longs to communicate with others and does so through body language. His volunteers agree that he is very intelligent and has the potential to learn academically if given the chance. Alex needs a family that can give him language so he can express himself, learn, and grow.
